Writing is thinking. Develop the skills that matter in the age of AI

“I don’t want my writing to sound like ChatGPT”

100% human written.

The government started building the Thames Tideway Tunnel in 2016. It is finally going to be fully open in 2025. Its function is to improve water quality of the Thames by reducing the amount of untreated sewage flowing into the river. The tunnel is 25 km long and cost 5 billion pounds to build.

My rewrite

If you peer into an opening of the Thames Tideway Tunnel, you may mistaken it as the entrance to tube slide at a water park. Both are perfectly cylindrical; both seem so deep that once you dive into them, you could count to 10 and still not come out on the other side. But here the similarities stop. The Thames Tideway Tunnel, a super sewer built to ease the longstanding problem of sewage overflow in River Thames, took 10 years to complete, spans 25 km in length, and cost the British taxpayers 5 billion pounds, enough money to build The Shard three times over.
